Buckeyes Cruising to end Cancer!

The third annual Buckeye Cruise for Cancer is setting sail this week and Komen Columbus wants to shine some light on the event and take a closer look at all the fun. The cruise gives die-hard Buckeye fans the opportunity to vacation with former OSU Buckeyes and raise money for breast cancer research all at the same time. All proceeds from the cruise go directly to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at Ohio State’s James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

This year, the event takes place from Feb. 25 – March 1, 2010. Participants will begin their vacation on the Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship from Tampa, FL for a 5-day, 4-night cruise through Mexico. More than 20 famous Buckeye Alums are on board for this year’s cruise including former coaches, quarterbacks and, of course, the best mascot in all of college football – Brutus! There will be time for photos and autographs for all cruise participants as well as private chat sessions during designated times throughout the cruise.

Bummed you didn’t get your ticket in time for this year’s cruise? No worries. As soon as this year’s cruise docks back in Tampa, registration for next year’s cruise opens immediately.
