Take a Day on the Course for a Good Cause

For David Carter, forming a team for the upcoming Golf for the Cure outing on August 13 was an easy decision.

“It’s a great cause that I’m happy to support,” David said. “And it gives me a good excuse to visit the driving range a few times before the event.”

David works for Big Lots, a corporate sponsor for the 2010 Race for the Cure, and invited some of his co-workers to participate on his team.

“A few of us have known friends and family members who have battled breast cancer so this is one way we can give back while doing something we enjoy together,” David said.

Proceeds from the outing will support breast cancer education, treatment and screening services in Central and Southeastern Ohio through Komen Columbus’ Community Health Grants programs.

Join David and his co-workers for a day out of the office and on the links on Friday, August 13th, 2010, beginning with a shot-gun start at noon. The outing includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and dinner, prizes and much more! Registration is available here.
