With so many upcoming events scheduled to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re going to take time in the next few weeks to spotlight a few of the activities so no event goes unnoticed. First up, Condos for the Cure.
Taking place for the second consecutive year, Epcon Communities has generously arranged for $1,000 from each condo that goes into contract at any one of its Central Ohio properties during the month of October to benefit Komen Columbus. That means the more condos that are sold during October, the more funds will be put toward breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in Central and Southeastern Ohio. If you know anyone in the market for a new home, send them to Epcon Communities!
To kick off the month, Epcon is opening up the gorgeous clubhouse at its “Villas at Glenealy” property in Dublin for an open house on Sunday, October 3 beginning at 3 p.m. ABC6/FOX28’s Maria Durant will emcee the event, and Komen Columbus Board President-Elect Tammy Weis will lead a “Survivors and Friends Walk” around the property at 3:30. Following the walk, guests will be invited into the clubhouse for light hors d’oeuvres and demonstrations by Mukha Custom Cosmetics and Medi-Spa, Bethany Golden of Over my Head Wig and Hat Boutique and a local massage therapist. There will be an opportunity to win a complimentary massage as well as some fantastic door prizes.
Whether you’re a survivor, supporter and advocate for breast cancer awareness, we hope to see you and a friend at this lovely event.
The event is free and open to the public and there is no registration required for the Survivors and Friends Walk. The event will be held at the Villas at Glenealy Clubhouse, 6315 Donegan Way, Dublin, OH 43016. Call 614-792-2200 with any questions or concerns.
